LP675 Please document a single incident in which God/ Yaweh/Allah/ Zeus/Humbaba/ Mickey Mouse, killed/executed, anybody for any crime.
People die of real causes, heart attacks, deceases, murders(stabbing/clubbing/poisoning).
You are making the extraordinary claim that a fictitious character executed two people for transgressing it's arbitrary laws.
You seem to believe in a demonic/voodoo God.
Very subtle indeed. Masterful.

True and complete Christianity looks more like this;

Phil 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Ah, he was not a True Christian (tm).

Not only did I not say that, I explicitly stated this is not something I would say.

Rather than just using saracsm, why not cite the chapter in Exodus where YHWH strikes several thousand of the wandering Hebrews dead in a similar and much more dramatic fashion, for breaking one of his laws?

A lawyer needs evidence. Sarcasm will not sway the judge and jury.

Because he is being smart, and isn’t interested in an answer. Any bible passages will not be ‘documented’ in the sense he is asking for.

LP675- "Very subtle indeed. Masterful."

Thank You !

LP675 - "Because he is being smart"

Thank You for saying that I am smart, but I assure you that I am a modest fellow and I am not looking for your praise.

LP675 - "and isn’t interested in an answer."

I am interested in what you have to say. I assure you I am interested in your answer.

LP675 - "Any bible passages will not be ‘documented’ in the sense he is asking for."

I didn't ask you to document anything in the Bible. Surely the nasty God that you believe in must still be striking evil doers dead. There must be plenty of evil doer's who have been struck dead by God. Please name a few and explain how you know that their deaths were caused by supernatural retribution for disobeying Yaweh's word.

PS- don't mistake my matter-of- fact manner for foolishness. My God/Mickey Mouse comparison is not a joke.

You've heard some vague rumors of crooked pastors dying mysteriously. That's really convincing . Why doesn't god strike people dead in blantant public example that would strike fear in the hearts of future evil doers? Wasn't that the reason for the death of A&S? There seems to be far less fear of the lord among Christians today than in the 1st century. I'm pretty sure if infamous TV evangelists instantly died during beg-a-thons it would discourage others from emulating them. Instead, god just lets them get away with and lets them make the rest of Christianity look like frauds and fools.

Or what about popes selling free rides into heaven called indulgences? Surely gross fraud like that from those claiming to be god's official spokesmen on Earth would be enough to send Yahweh into a killing spree. What about the Inquisition falsly accusing innocents of heresy and witchcraft so they could steal their property?

The Catholic clergy had a nice racket where they were accountable to no one but god. Since god never intervened, that met they could do anything they wanted to. You would probably say they weren't true Christians. That would be all the more reason for god to strike them down and show the world what frauds they were.

I guess A & S lie must have been far more horrible in the eyes of the almighty. Your god is like a judge who would execute someone for shoplifting and let mass murders go free.

Perhaps god doesn't want to strike them dead. He can certainly find other ways to deal with them. How about whenever someone claims to have a direct line to god, they lose their voice for a week? That would rapidly end the careers of religious charlatans.

If Rush declared himself the official spokesperson for the White House and started making all sorts of insane claims he wouldn't get away with it for long. Their would be an official press release from Bush denying any connection with Limbaugh. If it kept up, Rush could even get sued. It's very strange that humans can find ways to protect themselves from frauds misrepresenting them, but god can't.

If this is a serious request, it is one I reject. I don’t personally know of any such cases, and even if I did I doubt I would be able to provide documentation. I could in theory possibly document a supernatural healing. I will ask at church on Sunday if that can be done i.e. if they have doctor’s reports etc. (the one regarding the baby I spoke about in the Science & Skepticism forum)

If you do become a lawyer, remind me not to let you take on a case for me. Really LP, first you move the goalposts, (God striking people dead for breaking "God's Law," to faith healing), then you say you will ask those at church for info on the so-called faith healing. You have got to do better than that.

It wasn’t meant to be convincing. Why would I care if you believed me or not that I vaguely recall reading such stories in a biography?

I don’t know, why don’t you ask him? If your point is that this doesn’t happen often, of course I agree with you.

So you think eternal torment is going free? God says "It is mine to avenge; I will repay", and he eventually will.
