It would appear that I was expecting too much of you, Toto.

But I'm amazed that in ten minutes you resolved the entire issue and laid out in detail, with convincing and specific evidence, the history of Christian reading of the Old and New Testaments.

Oh wait, you did nothing of the sort.

I have no idea what you expected, Layman. I don't claim to be able to solve the problem of why Christians interpret scripture the way they do. I thought my solution was the most charitable one for all involved, while you still seem to want to stir up rancor.

I'm not the one taunting the other fellow demanding he participate in a debate he has already said does not interest him enough to justify the time.

You are.

Well, Layman, if you want to make four posts, attack Mr. Carr, then decline the opportunity to refer to a single OT source about a dead and risen savior, fine.

As I indicated my original question was to judge, not you. I simply extended the invitation to you.

But spare us the martyr routine.

You appear to be confusing me with someone else. I have not asked you to debate anything.

Sure, Toto. No taunting at all. No talk about lurkers at all.

Spare the childish taunting and comments about lurkers and I won't call ya out for childish taunting.

We got a deal.

You're great at changing the subject. I said I didn't challenge you to a debate, and you reply with something else. And your idea of what constitutes "taunting" seems rather strange. A reference to lurkers is not usually a taunt.

But I will not continue this discussion, which is leading nowhere. Have a nice day.

Exclamation

I see nothing editable in this thread at this point, but I also don't see much related to an actual biblical discussion. Please return the debate to the OP or this thread will be closed.

No , I asked you how long you think it took.
If you do not wish to answer that is fine.

All the best.
