Fraud? Of all the reasons one might like any given story you pick this one. Care to explain?

The Bible is the 'smoking gun' for the non-existence of the Christian Gods. I would be 'lost' without it. The Bible literally saved me. I like the whole Bible.

Nah, perhaps it's evidence against Biblical literalism. I'd be willing to grant that, but this collection of religious writings doesn't provide the evidence against the existence of the Christian God that you would like. Anyway, back to the thread topic.......

Anyway, I thought you were talking about fraud. I'm glad that's not the case.

I can picture it. John Cleese (in his garb from the LoB stoning scene) as Ezra , giving the returned-from-exile Judeans a reading from (newly redacted) scriptures and the rest of the troop in the multitude cracking comments.

The Song of Solomon (Song of Songs).

HAWT SeXxOrz Bronze-Age style! Breasteses like leaping Gazelles, doves in "clefts" ...oh, BAYBEE.

Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat...

Oh, YEAH!! It's ORALICIOUS

JW:
"Mark" with its Ironic contrasting style is the only book that is skillfull by modern literary standards. That it can make a resurrection ending anti-climatic and fit perfectly naturally with the rest of the Gospel is Art. It's like a Dali painting, the longer you stare at it, the more you discover. And of course, there's no arguing with the commercial success of the original Gospel.

Well Joseph, you may think that Mark is the first Gospel but that can never be true because the events described in Mark are caused and are driven by religion which here is Judaism in particular.

Catholicism does the same thing but not until after the dark ages that were dark to remove Judaism from their lineage . . . which, of course is why we have our own heaven and the rest can just go to hell (sic).

Oh, I like Jonah because it is so short. Of some of the others I only read fragments but Gen.1-3 probably 100 times.

My favorite is the Book of Deuteronomy which contains many spectacularly profound teachings. Like in chapter 22:6-7, wherein the Lord God of the Universe spake from on high and blessed us with very detailed instructions on how to handle the enormously complex moral issues that arise from finding a bird's nest on the ground.

Stand amazed, I say, at the wisdom of the Almighty!

Which bible?

Oh you mean the Jewish/Christian bible?

That bible?

I guess I'd say Habakkuk or Galatians.

Gal. 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

I love to watch how longsuffering and joyful, peaceful and meek the christians are.
