BTW, now that I'm at work, I did the calculations. My dream computer can be had for the bargain price of about $11,350 USD.
Anyone want to make my dream come true? ![]() |

Oh, man.
I've only just hauled my arse out of bed, and you guys are turning me on already! Yowza! :notworthy ChickenGirl: LOL! It took me a few minutes to get that. I was wondering what the hell you were talking about! ![]() Keep those specs coming. I'll be away for a few days, but when I get back I want my toes curling with an-PC-pation! ![]() ![]() |

Oooh! Things that occurred to me that I forgot in that "dream" system!
1) A second matched pair of 512 mb sticks of Corsair PC4400 ram. 2GB should be a decent start. 2) I forgot the ever-important water cooling. It's not my specialty, but with the PC-75B full-tower case, I'd have room for a radiator and water block the size of manhattan. Well, not quite, but disturbingly close ![]() I figure that a good water-cooling setup should net me at least another 500 mHz on that 2.2 gHz 64-bit monster. And I should be able to get at least 1 gHz out of the 800 mHz fsb. Hmm. I might have to actually use the non-automatic overclocking of the 9800 XT, too. Water-cooling would make those 24" images beautiful to see, at 2304 x 1440. And with the projector (running at 1024 x 768), I'd be set! LAN parties, regular parties, music, movies, you name it, that system would rule at it. Oh, how I want one. ![]() |

I don't know whether to change my dream to that one, or the one NonHomogenised is going to build me as soon as I win Lotto. ![]() |
