Hi... I have just hit upon copy of "Jerusalem Bible" (from Israel), with notice "Not to be sold in USA or Canada". I haven't yet had time to look at it.
Does someone know what is the reason for this? Any key theological differences, or what? |

It means that Israeli edition is not to be sold in US or Canada. It is standard publishing practice, probably because of some trade laws.
I hope people are beginning to understand how misunderstandings like this are very common and their ripple effects? This could still turn into an urban myth and a new religion based on US and Israeli versions of the Jerusalem Bible. Will spellings be different? Which is then the true word of god? Swords and plowshares? |

Is it the Jerusalem Bible that leaves YHWH as YHWH instead of translating to "Lord"? Or was it Elohim instead of God?
