I think there was a Great Flood, but I don't believe it was in 2300 BCE. Central American cultures also talk about a Great Flood. The Hopi Indians had a story about a man who went up a mountain to escape the flood and then repopulated the Earth by throwing stones over his shoulder or something. Things in the Bible happened but in what context is unknown. The story of Moses in Egypt hasn't been proven historically accurate, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. We just haven't found the proof. The Bible is just intrepretation about their world. The only thing that I AM wrote were the original Ten Commandments, everything else is speculation from witnesses and their commentary. All of the NT is recorded from observers of JC, or is speculation and commentary from Paul and other theologians of the time. St. Thomas Aquinas and Immanuel Kant could just as easily have been included in the NT. We are just trying to understand about our world, and create a system that we can use to interact with this world and each other. What the Abrahamic religions tell us is that the initial action where everything is a result of, cares about our future as a species. It also states that there are consequences for our actions and that we will be held accountable accordingly. The Eastern religions maintain the same rules to their beliefs, acknowledgement of consequences and accountability (I AM = divine retribution and Eastern traditions = Karmic retribution.)

Well, if you go back far enough, there WAS a worldwide Flood.
...Sort of. I'm referring to the worldwide sea-level rise at the end of the last Ice Age. |

So by your analysis there are thousands of talking animals on the planet?
Every culture has a story of a talking animal. Every myth is based upon truth. Were are these talking animals? |
