The claim in "Against Heresies" that John the disciple told people for about 5 decades that Jesus was about to be 50 years old when he was crucified have DEVASTATED the ENTIRE history of the Church.
Without Acts of the Apostles, Paul and the Pauline writings then we might as DUMP the BIBLE with the Church writings. The devastation of "Against Heresies" is FINAL and CRIPPLING. John the disciple who was claimed to have LIVED up to the time of TRAJAN c98-117 CE could NOT have known the disciples, including Peter, the supposed 1st bishop and the so-called Paul. What DEVASTATION!!!!! What FRAUD!!!! If John the disciple knew the disciples and were WITH them on the DAY of Pentecost LONG BEFORE the reign of Claudius then he could NOT, COULD NOT, tell people for DECADES UPON DECADES that Jesus died at about 50 years old. The History of the Church has BEEN BUSTED ONCE and FOR ALL. "Against Heresies" has DESTROYED the very history that it was supposed to be. |

I'm sure this has already been brought up various times on this forum. You seem very excited to have made a "discovery" that's fairly common knowledge.

Is there evidence that the fragments of the Gospel Of Judas that were tested is from the first autograph of the Gospel rather than a later copy? Steve |

It is NOW known WITHOUT reasonable doubt that Marcion and the Marcionites did NOT know of Acts of the Apostles and the Pauline writings. It is NOW known WITHOUT reasonable doubt that the disciples, inculding Peter were NOT known to have received the Holy Ghost on the Day of Pentecost as stated in Acts. According to "Against Heresies" 2.22, John preached that Jesus died when he was about to be fifty which is in the reign of Claudius which would be AFTER the Day of Pentecost and AFTER the conversion of "Paul". "Against Heresies" is NOW confirmed to be a product of FORGERY, FRAUD and FICTION. |

Interesting, very interesting. Just like much of the texts the history of its history is found to be full of holes, and likewise utterly fraudulent.
...But the believers won't give a damn, they never have, and they never will. And the Universe in turn doesn't give a damn what foolish religious hog-wash and rigmarole these poor deluded bastards waste their lives on. They will all drop dead and eventually become nothing more than mute and dumb dust. And this perfectly impartial Universe will roll on, uncaring of all of their noisy nothing that all came to nothing. |

Once people are given credible data they will generally accept it. People believe the Jesus stories because they were TAUGHT from childhood that the Jesus stories are true. Once people are TAUGHT from an early stage that the Jesus stories are non-historical then soon Jesus would just be accepted as Myths like Zeus or Romulus and Remus. We are now witnessing the transition from ghost story to God and back to original myth. There is now NO reasonable doubt that Acts of the Apostles and the Pauline writings are really AFTER "Against Heresies". To argue in a 2000 word argument that Jesus was about to be fifty years old when he died and that John the disciple preached the same thing SIGNIFIES that Irenaeus, John the disciple , and the Heretics COULD NOT have known that Peter and Paul preached Christ Crucified in Acts of the Apostles LONG BEFORE the time of Claudius. Acts of the Apostles and the Pauline writings are products of Fiction, Fraud and Forgery |

You have far more confidence in human nature than me.
In my experience most true believers prefer to cover their ears and say 'nah nah nah' to anything that might rock their boat. |

This is only the 19th post in this thread, and there is no lack of additional space for you to impress us all with your extensive knowledge of History and astounding critical thinking skills |

My argument is SOLID and DEVASTATING to the Church.
The Veracity of the CHRISTIAN RELIGION based on Jesus Christ has BEEN DESTROYED by "Against Heresies" 2.22. In the 2000 word argument of "Against Heresies" 2.22 the author NEVER mentioned Acts of the Apostles, Paul and the Pauline writings which would have SHREDDED his argument to bits. If any HERETIC or any person was AWARE of Acts of the Apostles, Paul and the Pauline writings then they would have RIDICULED Irenaeus as a COMPLETE IDIOT and a MONSTROUS LIAR. It is CLEAR that Irenaeus and the very Heretics: 1. Never heard of the Ascension of Jesus in Acts BEFORE the reign of Claudius. See Acts 1 2. Never heard of the day of Pentecost in Acts BEFORE the reign of Claudius. See Acts 2 3. Never heard of the STONING of Stephen in Acts BEFORE the reign of Claudius. See Acts 8 4. Never heard that Paul PERSECUTED the FAITH in Acts BEFORE the reign of Claudius. See Acts 8 5. Never heard of the BRIGHT LIGHT CONVERSION story of Paul in Acts BEFORE the reign of Claudius. See Acts 9 6. Never heard of the Pauline writing when Paul claimed he was in Damascus BEFORE the reign of Claudius in the time of King Aretas. See 2 Cor. 11 7. Never heard of the Pauline writings when Pauline claimed he PERSECUTED the FAITH BEFORE the reign of Claudius in the time of King Aretas. See Galatians 1 Acts of the Apostles, Paul and the Pauline writings are historically bogus and are products of FRAUD, FORGERY and FICTION and were COMPLETELY UNKNOWN in the time when "Against Heresies" 2.22 was written. Virtually the ENTIRE history of the "EARLY" Church as presented by the Church writers was DERIVED from FRAUD, FICTION and FORGERIES. AT LAST, WE KNOW, without reasonable doubt, that JESUS, "PAUL" and PETER are FICTION characters of the 1st century based on "Against Heresies" 2.22. |
