I thought of this concept after fascinated by the libretto of a German opera cycle called "Ring of Nibelungen" based loosely on German mythology (composed by the great Richard Wagner). It tells of the downfall of Valhalla and the gods from the creation of a powerful ring from Rhine Gold. This concept, I think is quite similar to Deism and such. This teory will satisfy believers who thinks the design of our world and universe is so intricate, it couldn't possibly came out of nowhere, yet explains the lack (sort of) Divine benevolence in our troubled world these days. What do you guys think?

God is dead! Love live the superman![/Nietzche]
Not really a new concept. Seems a little contradictory to me... God is, by definition, immortal and omnipotent. I mean, what, did he commit suicide or something? Seems to me either he always existed and will always exist (likely in a Deistic sense), or he never existed at all. Saying he once did but doesn't anymore just doesn't make sense to me. |

Being a God doesn't mean they're always perfect and omnipotent. That's a narrow-minded definition.

What if we are all a computer programmed advanced AI/AL civilisation? What if "God" is just some programmer who continually "interferes" in order to fix glitches/bugs in the program, and now can let the program run without operation? Again, none of this is relevant to anything, and if there was a "deistic" god, who cares? It's not like he can reach us now...
