Therefore it might be more appropriate to say that we have Romans sponsoring certains Greeks to write what we have received. Quote:
in the canon, neither are any of the wisdom sayings which were pumped as a collage into the gospels, deleivered in the typically gnostic sense as found in the Gospel of Thomas. To my mind it is more reasonable to consider that the gnostics were entirely responsible for the entire corpus of the non canonical new testament literature, which they wrote after reading the canon. |

This explains why the Pauline beliefs spread like wild fire with the premise of the Hebrew laws are fullfiled: the truth is that Paul would never have prevailed if the laws were not negated. |

Well, at least you admit that humanity had and practiced civil laws before the Jews decided to adopt the same precepts. Jews were ahead of their time, relatively speaking that is? And they believed in evolution of man long before anyone else? That's a stretch I think. So what if Rome prohibited others from worshiping other gods than Roman gods? Your Hebrew bible did the same in forbidding others from worshiping idols in the Jewish society. There was no equal rights on any side, and your Hebrew bible was not telling its stories of equal rights to others. What would have happened had an idol worshiper brought his idol into the temple or synagogue and told the Jews he had a right to worship it along side Yahweh? I can't imagine Jews giving such a person equal rights. Even in the NT the Gentiles are warned to observe Jewish custom while among the Jews. So your equal rights is nothing. Who said it was a blessing to kill Jews? I can't remember reading anything in the NT or other works. However, Jesus THE JEW did say to bring his enemies before him so that he might slay them. This is what Christians call figurative speech. Peter calls the Jews murderer's. Paul says the Jews are contrary to all men. Seems this Jew against Jew hatred was forced into non Jewish societies by way of "the bible" and stupid Romans who adopted it as their own doctrinal code of division in separation from the Jews. But I'm curious, what do you think would have resulted had the Romans not separated themselves from Jewish customs and tradition? I think they could have done so without hanging onto and using the Hebrew/Jewish bible. But they needed the Hebrew bible in order to validate their claim about Jesus being sent from god at the beginning. So they twisted the scripts to fit their storyline and we've ended up with what we've got - chaos. People who believe in an ancient thunder god who supposedly told his people to cut off the foreskins of their penis to please his sadistic "mark" in the flesh. I think Jews today have come to realize just what the Hebrew god is in all his gory detail and therefore Jews today are much more intelligent than those of 2000 years ago. |
