Default The Middle Way

Is it really enough to find a middle way and pick it, in most cases? Is it even reliable? Suppose you have two opposing alternatives? Isn't it possible that one of the two is right and any third way also wrong?

It is in attitude and view (as portrayed in the Buddhist Noble eightfold path) that the middle way comes into its own.

One has to work at the middle way in the sense that it is a choice to be, not a to do list with multiple options.

If you are asking a general, generic question then my answer is I don't know.

If you are asking about buddhism which is commonly refered to as the middle way then yes, it is logical. The other choices (on the extreme side) are aceticism or materialism. Does either seem wise?

There is a more profound meaning to the Middle Way in that it is 'a path between' certain philosophical views of the nature of self/personal identity: Eternalism and Annihilationism.

Its not a commandment ordering people faced with a choice to always take 'the middle one'.

I think middle-wayness is correct in that any named alternatives are likely to be transitorily useful. rather than middle-wayness we could also recommend no-wayness.

Maybe 'no-way-ness' is a good negative way to express the same thing ?
