LD

If you agree with my characterization of the genealogies as contradictory can we please move on?

Stephen:

Dot agreed that they were different, not contradictory. I very much doubt that Dot will stipulate that either is wrong.

Since their for two different people that and in and of itself doesn't mean they are contracdictory

Stephen:

See what I mean? There can be no contradiction withing the Gospels even if that means that the words don't mean what they quite directly say. Just ask Dot if you don't believe me.

Of course they are contradictory. The dictionary definition of contradictory:

Quote:
a proposition so related to a second that it is impossible for both to be true or both to be false.
No one except rabid zealots can possibly argue that the genealogies agree. This conversation isn't progressing. Commentators since the late second century have acknowledged the discrepencies. You're just pretending to be stupid.

Be fair! Dot may not be pretending.

So far you have called me stupid and suggested that I find a white supremacist group to join. You're a real sweetheart.

Read carefully. Stephan Huller says you are not stupid. And he suggested that your conversation would fit in better on a white supremacist board.

Where does he say my converstion would fit in better on a white supremacist board. I clicked on the link by his name in the post I'm replying to and it didn't take me to a post of his that says that.
