Default Jesus can't swim

A professor of oceanography at Florida State University has postulated that Jesus in fact walked across a small patch of ice that formed on the Sea of Galilee. (Lake Kinneret for QuestionMark?)

Interesting find, this is the first I've heard of refuting the walk-on-water myth.

But ofcourse, we already know the fundies are going to come back and say that ice IS water, and that was what the original texts meant when it said Jesus walked on the Sea of Galilee.

So Jesus was a con artist?

Personally, I always suspected a sandbar but this is interesting.

If they do, I'm glad for them. It shows very unfundyish open-mindedness. They will not, however. They will deny it until it is impossible to deny, then continue to deny it for a while, and then do what you say. And so what if they do? One less miracle, either way.

Jesus was a fabricated character, equivalent to Superman, Spiderman or Batman.

If you study the Christian Bible, Jesus can do anything. Jesus walked on air after he was raised from the dead. Trying to explain how Jesus walked on water is preposterous, that is like trying to explain how Superman or Spiderman flies.

I agree with the above poster. There's no need to explain an event that we have no real evidence really happened.

Personally, I'd like to see him prove how Thor can throw lightning bolts without it hurting him.
