I've heard how it turns out, so I'm not interested.

I already know the ending, so that movie and Titanic are on the short list of movies I'll watch 1 hour 45 minutes before I die.

Ubercat, Patcher, DBT and Kenni,

Well I'll probably be posting a discussion thread about it this coming Monday. So if you're interested please join in the discussion.

I liked "The Last Temptation of Christ" too. To date it's been the only version of the Jesus story that I've found interesting.

My reason for wanting to watch it, even though I know how it ends ( ), is that I hate to be one of those people who condemns a movie I haven't even seen. It bugs me when Christians do that about "The Last Tempation of Christ" so figure I should at least give PotC a chance.

There really isn't a whole lot of content. They speak authentic Aramaic, which is cool, and there's a bunch of violence, which isn't cool because it's totally gratuitous. (They throw him off a gorram bridge at one point! What the hell is that?!)

Anyway, definitely do watch it. It's an important piece of cinema history, even if it is ridiculously over the top.

Haven't seen it. Don't plan to. I'd rather watch Life of Brian again.

never wanted to see it. saw it. didn't like it. had nothing to do with the subtle christian overtones, just thought it was a shitty movie about some guy getting the shit beat out of him.

No, thanks. I prefer movies about ancient Rome that don't have nothing but damned Christians all over the place, like Gladiator.
