That is why the Christians pinched it.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David and the bright and morning star.
Rev 22:16

Well now, ain't that interesting.

Yep, Jesus is Satan, the great deciever, prince of lies, and author of all confusion. And he has the audacity to admit it for us. :rolling:

This book is the most confused collection of words ever. And I don't mean just Revelations, I'm talking the whole enchilada. What you thought was guacamole ends up being green salsa.

As for the OP, Orthodox_Freethinker I dunno how well you know your history, but "Christmas" was originally celebrated on the winter solstice. In modern times, the winter solstice falls on Dec. 21st, but 2,000 years ago before the calendar reform, that day was Dec. 25th. Instead of moving the date along with the calendar reform, Christians kept Christmas on Dec 25th.

From wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christm...s_of_Christmas

During Saturnalia the Romans feasted, postponed all business and warfare, exchanged gifts, and temporarily freed their slaves.
Hmmm... the part in bold seems really familiar...

...And all the gnostic lurkers raise their fists and nod their heads.

We oughta pick a bible passage at random and see how long it takes to find a contrary passage, but somebody has probably already done that too!

That depends on whether one folows the Julian or the Gregorian calendar. Either way, he was born around this time of the year. Thirteen days isn't that much of a difference.

There is a contrast between the false light of Lucifer and the true light of Christ. Remember, even Satan appears as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)

What existed first, the eternal Son of God or a pagan celebration? Christ's being born on this day perhaps shows how He is the fulfillment of not only Judaism but paganism as well.
