I'm dying to use that biblical passage as a final line after some idiot has spent an hour reasoning with me. "Sorry, I'm already damned, there's nothing you can do." |

ummmm....
Each and every sin will lead to eternal condemnation (Romans 6:23). Jesus died to pay the penalty for sin (1 John 2:2). Jesus died for ALL of our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21). For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. (James 2:10) ...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4-5) The one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin (John 19:11) For there is no partiality with God. (Rom 2:9-11) For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality. (Col 3:25) There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death. (1 John 5:17) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive greater condemnation. (Matt 23:14-15) Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. (James 3:1) For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. (Matt 16:227) Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds. (2 Cor 11:15) Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds. (2 Tim 4:14) For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:26-31) Many of these passages are not just saying that a sinner will be punished. They are punished according to their deeds. Apparently, even Jesus can't help you when blaspheming the Holy Spirit. I don't know. I reckon you'll have to make up your own mind. |
