Erwin is a vB guru. I'm sure he's just busy doing other stuff.

I thought it was 12 hours to install the vbulletin upgrade, and longer to recode the hacks. He was planning to open things back up once all the important hacks were working. The fun stuff like pets and characters were not expected to be up at first once CF is open.

It sounds like the recoding of his custom code is taking longer than expected, though.

Who knows ... maybe he's trying to code in restrictions like "Area accessible only for true Christians who go to church each sunday, are site supporters, have picketed an abortion clinic and slandered at least one well-known gay/lesbian person!

I can fully appreciate that coding such would take a LOT of time

I think Erwin is an optimist.

He always under estimates the time needed to get the forums back up.

I want to go back home, and he has me locked out!! This is starting to bug me! :devil:

He may be a guru but coding, testing and verifying is not a one person job especially for a forum that size
