				 | More on Eusebius, "gospel differences and solutions"

I've mentioned that I have commissioned a translation of this work into English, and this is going ahead; so far 4 questions from Greek and 1 fragment from Syriac have been done. (The work was written in the form of an FAQ). I still intend to publish this, so I can get at least some of the money back, before putting it online. A major academic publisher is sniffing around the project, which is also interesting. I thought people interested might like to know that question 4 has just been translated, and it turns out to be a verbatim quotation from Julius Africanus! The subject is again problems with the genealogies of Jesus. The nice thing about Eusebius' works is his quotations from lost writers, but I had not expected any in this work. So a bit of a bonus for us all. All the best, Roger Pearse |
