I'd like to explore something...
If Reproductive Science were to come up with a method to allow two people of the same sex to have a baby - would it be immoral? If, through reproductive science, two people of the same sex DID have a baby, would it be immoral to prevent their marriage? Don't get stuck on the (current) lack of medical science - let's make the assumption that such science is available. And that's not even a stretch. In vitro fertilization, Parthenogenesis, host mothers - all are known now. Perhaps an artificial womb will be needed - but that's not my question. My question is, if gay people can reproduce in a same-sex relationship - then what objection to gay marriage would be left? Calladus |
