C'mon, I know the Catholic Church is not adverse to blessing the animals and such.

Oh they will bless anything you ask them to bless but there is always a big "why" before such ceremonies take place to bring the will of God into the picture (and fucking the cat is not one of those).

Be thankful that you can't, my friend; otherwise, we'd all have reason to question your mental stability....

I'm still a little fuzzy on this whole genetics of sin thing; can someone help me out?

If sin is encoded by the Y chromosome, how is it that the first human sin was committed by Eve? Does that mean that sin is found on the Y chromosome and free-will is on the X? What about YYX males; are they especially sinful? Are Klinefelter's (XXY) men less naughty than most men? What abouts Turners Syndrome women, where the configuration is XO; are they sinless?

Nobody yet has raised the possibility of Jesus being an XX male (such people do exist, and are born with all the normal male equipment, despite being infertile. Then again, Jesus didn't have children.)

Default Dr RICK? yr qy just previous here?

I'll have to go check w/ ThAq, but I'm virtually certain (the liturgical & theological attributions = cf the texts of that wonderful once-a-year upcoming event, the Easter Vigil (on saturday night, the 10th of april this year; everyone ought to see it once!) .... virtually certain I say, that altho EVE is held forever to BLAME, for having persuaded him to sin, the SIN (which we all inherit as children of ADAM = the Original sin) is always attributed to ADAM (alone); probably because no-one then nor since figures that Eve mattered; except to be an implement to reproduce (Gasp) "MAN".

Hence, if I have this correct, ADAM's sin & its stain is passed down in the MALE line to all human beings, with TWO conspicuous exceptions: Jesus did not have it because he did not have a HUMAN MALE BIOLOGICAL FATHER ;see following note below )
and his Mother Mary (who was never broached, nor impregnated by any human male), was (miraculously ) preserved from Original Sin, from the moment of her Immaculate Conception (Oh that was ordinary-SEXUAL, all right; but without Adam's stain) in the womb of HER Mother.... because GOD willed it so; HE knowing in advance at the moment of her own conception, that she would (about 13 years later ) agree ("Never VOLUNTEER!") to become the (virgin) Mother = only HUMAN parent, of the Saviour, the Incarnation.

If this sounds like bullshit to you, Rick... well... you have lots of company.

The matters have been considered & discussed & FOUGHT over for a couple of millennia. If you're really interested, you can consult *The New Catholic Encyclopedia* at your major library; or Richard McBrien"s 2-volume work *Catholicism* ibid. Or you can go to Thomas Aquinas hisself, either of the two *Summa*s.

If this-here seems impossibly long , boring and irrational, you're right; it is.
I always add a note: to go read my paper about all that. Search "Congratulations He's a Girl" at um google, I guess. Or see thread here at EyeEye * Jesus's Y chromosome* where the link to it is spelled out...

we' all be better off out raking the yard....
