Default The Y Chromosome of Jesus

Many (possibly most) Christians believe that Jesus was not the son of his mother's husband (Joseph), or any other man. So, my question is, where did his Y Chromosome come from? Possible answers:

1) Jesus didn't have a Y Chromosome. He looked human, but didn't have human DNA.
2) Jesus was a female clone of Mary, who, through divine intervention, was given male features.
3) Mary was, through a miracle, artificially inseminated with Joseph's DNA.
4) Mary was artificially inseminated with DNA that God designed for the occassion.
5) God created the embryonic Jesus in Mary's womb, with DNA of his design. Jesus wasn't genetically related to either Mary or Joseph. This would explain those pictures of him with blue eyes.
6) God the father has DNA just like any human male. He impregnated Mary with it, but not by a sexual act.

None of these possibilities seem particularly attractive to me. Any ideas from Christians or people who know Christians beliefs better than I do?

Also, if God went for number 4:

Did Jesus have any 'junk' DNA on his Y chromosome? If so, why?

Jesus didn't have male human DNA ( and from what I've heard, He didn't actually have female DNA either - He had no genetic mixing from Mary and Joseph). God created a human body within Mary, through the power of the Holy Spirit, perfect in every way with no corruption or flaw from Mary or Joseph's DNA. I'd say # 5 is case.

Exceptional OP; Look also at the significance of Mytochondria. Bunk biologists for the 'cause' especially Islamic don't even mention this aspect when trying to debunk Darwinian evolution. H

Then he wasn't of the house of Judah or of Davidic descent anymore than if a doctor had transferred the fertilized egg of a Greek couple into Mary as a surrogate birth-mother.

Do you ever wonder to yourself why these stories require ever increasing amounts of convoluted explanations from those who wish to retain them?

This is surreal....

Did Jesus have internal organs? What exactly about his lymphatic system was 'perfect in every way'? Did he have an appendix? Was his penis the perfect penis, and what exactly does that mean in terms of girth and erectile function? Did Jesus shed skin? i.e. Did his skin constantly replace itself, with dead skin sloughing off all the time like with normal people? In other words, did Jesus have dandruff? If so, was it 'perfect' dandruff?

Don't claim to know Christian beliefs but you missed an obvious explanation. Mary was foolin around, got knocked up and told everyone that an angel of god did it. Of course no one believed her but for that time and place it was cover, modest cover but cover none the less.

Default the more likely explanation

some obnoxious Roman soldier took advantage of Mary (by coercion), and knocked her up. The community couldn't do anything about it, so Joseph decided to take care of her in any case, and brought up the baby as his son. But the son must have had more European features, and this may have led him to forsake his Jewish father in favor of some heavenly father figure.

Magus, your thought that Jesus had no DNA from Mary is a figment of your imagination. The Bible doesn't say.

Magus said, "Jesus didn't have male human DNA ( and from what I've heard, He didn't actually have female DNA..."

If Jesus had no Y chromosome then he wasn't male.

If Jesus had no human DNA, then he wasn't human at all.

Things to ponder:

If Jesus would have grown older would he have developed an enlarged prostate like most old men?

Did Jesus have nocturnal erections and wet dreams?

Did Jesus ever have a cold, requiring an immune response?

Did he have bacteria on and in his body?

Was he susceptible to appendicitis or Gall Bladder disease?

If he had not eaten fruit, would he have gotten scurvy?

Considering the biblical/fundamentalist abhorrence of sex, I'm surprised to hear that he had a penis at all. Maybe he had very short arms to compensate for that.
