Okay, so they cut all mention of the disaster from the records...for one second, I'll accept that.

However...we are talking about a people that were nearly manic about writing everything down. So...where is the bit about replacing the pharoh that suddenly went missing? There is also a remarkable lack of any notes about the extra expense of having to raise, train, and equip the replacements for the army that was with the pharoh at the time. They just manage to whipe all traces of that, too?

There is a far better question, though; there was another culture around at the time who were also writing everything down. The Chinese. I wonder how the Tower of Babel and the flood escaped their attention, especially since they were technically supposed to be present at the former?

Basicly, what I'm saying is...there seem to be some serious questions (and those are just two historical ones...let's not go into the scientific, eh?) about the reliability of the bible. If it can't get the very occurance of a major disaster right, how can it be trusted for anything else...like, say, that it is a holy book at all?

Why can`t forgiveness be attatained through helping others? Accepting a dead guy as your saviour seems too easy and insincere.

So if we go to Christian forums, will we become Christians as well? I`m not saying your beliefs are a disease, but it doesn`t work like that.

Troy, I was looking around your site and at the top of the page you link to a chain mail called God's Love. It has the title "THIS IS BEAUTIFUL ......AND YOU WILL CRY..."

Not only didn't I cry, I laughed at the silliness of it... at first. Then I got pissed. What a horrible story. Can you not see the awfulness of this story? Ugh. If this is what keeps you believing, I don't think you'll have much success "helping" us here.

According to Matthew 25:31-46, it can be. It's odd that evangelical and fundamentalist Protestants so rarely quote that passage except to rip verses 34 ("Come, ye blessed of my Father ....") and 41 ("Depart from me ....") out of context.
