Translated, this means "no, I've only got a theory".

Relativity is only a theory.

I, personally have never seen one.

This being the case, one could say, you have no evidence whatsoever for a "Jesus behind the NT".

Of course, you could simply make one up.
Q

Vinnie
I see. You simply made one up.

That's just another thing you need to admit you don't understand.

The one who's incorrect falls. There is a difference killings by people and killings by God. Study some history.

Relativity is a theory, because it's testable. Q is not a theory, it's a hypothesis, because it is not testable.

Default Jesus-Living?

There was no "J" in any language until about the 17th Century, so NO he did not exist, as such. Perhaps as Yahshua or something like that. (This obviates Jehovah, too). Anyway, the question should be: Is there anyone alive in any way today who was ever dead and buried (or cremated, etc.)? The answer has to be "NO"!

Forget the Christ bit. This Jesus fellow was "anointed" by a church he never belonged to long after the time of his alleged existence.

I think the probability is pretty high that there was a whole school of thought probably begun by a real person, but the "person" called Jesus (and his "teachings) is (are) really an amalgamation of (from) many individuals. Either that or the poor fellow had a serious multi-personality complex.

I'm voting for "don't know" because all I know is that I know nothing.

After 70 ce and especially after 135 ce Jews or Christians wouldn't wish to upset the Romans again by preaching a traditional messiah (= insurrectionist). Mark was probably trying to be careful in his story not to present a character threatening to gentile authorities. In the epistles the action is all in heaven so no problem there.
