I am time and time again amazed that the omniscient supplier of all morality still cannot seem to instruct his followers in how to treat people in a respectful manner. You would think this would be a simple task.

If we take for granted there is a God, afterlife, godshipped, fixed set of morals, we might as well all be nothing more than stuffed headded puppets on strings, doing stuff god's way, or no way, takeing resposability for everything wrong and giving away our merit to Him for what we did right, nosing the sky for something to interpret as god's reply.

Many respondents seem to be assuming that Tancred is a somewhat hostile theist.

This may be an erroneous assumption given that in his (?) profile he states his basic beliefs are: Fuck it all. Nihilist idiot.

I thought that those stated beliefs and interests were meant as a sarcastic and juvenile jab at his/her stereotyped 'amoral atheists'.

Notice how in the OP, he/she says:

Personally I think the OP is a troll. We shall see if he posts anything coherent in the future: I may just be proven wrong. But after a long time moderating a very busy board, my instincts are usually right.

What I'm saying here is that in a totally godless universe, devoid of spirituality, there is no reason to do anything. There is no forum for moral debate or discussion of any kind.

Who is making the morals? Not God, he doesn't exist. Are we? Why? Who says its wrong to kill someone and how can they justify it? How can you attach value to something that is just a transient sensory experience?

Death:
Do you have any conception of the NEGATION of you CONSCIOUSNESS? Why do you insist on the worth of ANY endeavour when it will ultimately be reduced to component atoms? In an infinite timeline the human race and all of its accomplishments will be destroyed and forgotten beyond all hope of retreival.

And also, my religous views are not the focus of the discussion. Quit trying to shift it to what I beleive and mention something relevant.

For all of you think I'm stupid, I can assure you I'm not. I'm pisssed off and I may be crude, but my arguments have value.
