				 |  Amos 9:14,15. 
			
			Hey guys,  I found a secular article (here) about the claim that the restoration of Israel in 1948 was prophecied in the bible. It was that one: http://www.infidels.org/library/maga...4/994wolf.html But I found no mention about Amos 9:14,15. which is viewed as prophecy too (by many fundies). Is there anything about that passage too? |

			It's a failed prophecy. Amos was written in the pre-Exilic period (circa 750 BC), with subsequent additions. As with all the other "return of Israel" prophecies, it refers to the hoped-for end of the Assyrian and/or Babylonian exiles. Quote:

			One also could more contemporarily point to Gaza Strip Jewish settler eviction.
