Forgive me for not having read this thread. I just wanted to add the following quote from a site closely linked to the one in the OP. The writer is describing his/her experiences on various religious-oriented message boards, and gives the IIDB a mention.

From:

My Experience with So-Called Christian Forums

Quote:
- banned at other forums like athiest sites such as Internet Infidels Discussion Forums still after 3 years now blocked. I can't get a edgeword in at all to help them, for as soon as they find you are real Chrisitian you are gone.
Except that we made one a moderator. So much for facts.

WOW

I'm SO SO SO glad that not all Christians are like this one. This one gives Christians a bad name in SO many ways.

IF they all were like that, I'd fear for our lives and our rational thoughtful selves.

WOW

Realize how the false accuser accuses so vaguely like the wind. That is self-centered. It is a pointing towards self.

Just throwing in my .02 here. But I would like to say that I call myself an atheist, yet it goes deeper then that. In my search for understanding. I look through the religions and sort out the shit from the truth. So much of the supernaturalism is no longer within my belief system. Currently, I call myself a Buddhist, Atheist, Animist, Christian, Taoist. There are aspects of all that are good, yet much that is bad within eachof those, although that greatly excludes Atheism.

And to go even deeper. Religions are nothing more then games that are being played towards a specific end goal. For the Christian it is the apocalypse and the advent of the new heaven and new earth. As it is nothing more then a finite game, and religion is nothing more then a role. One may enter and exit upon whim from any religions. So I am all, yet I am none.

Also, Christians really need to start reading and learning about this thing called self-fulfilling prophecies. I mean, here I am sitting trying to cope with depression. And I can see how the thoughts lead the body, the emotions, and the thoughts later on. It is learning to BREAK that cycle of destructive thoughts. Especially when your goal is the death of all those who do not believe iin your ideology.

So lvdyou... try living your life for 17 years only knowing the destructivenes of those thought patterns. You may start understanding why I am now dealing with depression, and why I find the thought patterns within religions, Christianity specifically, to be so destructive and detrimental to the betterment of the human species.

And so lvdyou. I am telling you, get out of this before it sucks you in like it had me. You will begin to see red for blue. Up is down. Left is right. Hell, I can already see these patterns in you, and I pity you and the road you travel.

I just watched it.

The entire premise of the video is that since 80% of Americans believe in Heaven and Hell, their beliefs must be true. It then presents what, in the view of a minority of those Americans, is what must be done to go there - but presents no evidence that either those 80% are correct or that the instructions they give are correct.

Lvdyou, over 99% of Afghanis believe in Allah. Have you pleased him enough to get into Heaven, or are you still worshipping the human prophet Christ (pbuh) as a god and therefore destined to be sent to Hell as an idolator?

After all, 99% is much greater than 80% - so if you trust the methods used by your video you should convert to Islam immediately.

I can say you that in France it would be classified with other stuffs like scientology, Moon, Jehovah's Witnesses aso... the baptists churches for instance are classified by the state as potentially dangerous sects and people with absolute exclusive beliefs. In the video, these people seem to live in a happy-clappy cocoon, and don't seem to realize how gloomy and disgusting their beliefs really are. The passage with the funeral is disgusting. This egotrip around heaven looks childish and closer to euphoric delirium than positive values we can find in christianism such love for the neighbour IMO.
