Pfft... damn this will cause more annoyance. It's funny that the Christians are always predicting the end of the world, then preaching to others that no one knows when it will happen.

Oh, no! Is the world ending again? Or maybe it did end and I just didn't notice!

Every single day, every single year, people have declared the world will end. Fortunately for me, it isn't going to any time soon.

Yeah, let them get lots of attention, then when the 'rapture' doesn't happen, who looks stupid?

Not the one who makes the prediction. They just slip back under the rock from which they came. The stupid looking ones are the poor saps that listen to them.

It ended on 1/1/2000, and you probably didn't notice because of your hangover.

Wait. Did nobody tell you? We're operating under the old Roman/Christian calander, and the year 2000 for us was actually something like 1994 for the Jews. So, in the JEWISH year 2000, which'll be '06 for us, the world will end. Hope that cleared everything up.

Oh wait, I jus read the article. Don't they know about the natural temperature changes the world goes through? The temp now only represents about 3% of what the earth's temp has been over the last 4.5 billion years. Learned that in college. Yep yep. (pulling up pants and straightening my t-shirt out, trying to look smart... :-)

Anyway... the natural warming of the earth... what is it environmentalists are calling it? Oh yeah, global warming, is just making things warmer. And this is just my bit of thinking here, but, wouldn't warmer temps cause more tropical storms? That only seems natural to me, but I haven't really studied weather or paleoclimatology/climatology too much.

Nobody ever talks about the other stuff. It's always "OMG!! HE'S COMING TO GET US!!!"

And the article seems to focus on American disasters. What about the earthquake in Pakistan/India? The tsunami last christmas? Etc...etc...etc...?
So, if America is facing doom from the skys it's b/c of god? How dumb. And if some middle eastern country or the orient experiences the same thing, it's just weather or those damned raghead/slopes gettin what they deserve. Please.

Stupid...

I wish the world would stop constantly ending, its getting on my nerves.
Anyway, doesn't doomsday mean your death, not the worlds. If the world ended isn't it the apocalypse, not the doomsday? Anyone?
For a change of pace, perhaps somebody could predict a day when the world will not end.

But this is whats really scary...
Yes, and I expect Judgment Day to come to pass in my lifetime. 17%
Yes, but I don't know when Judgment Day will come. 50%
No. 33%

So stuff the environment, caring for people, fixing world problems, etc. The world is going to end soon, who cares. Infact, wasn't this america's belief over the last 30 years. Perhaps these people should study history?
