What the hell is with the psychopathic religious mommy/slash murderers in Texas??? Let's see, we got three stories of mothers who have massacred 8 of their own children (well, they were also the children of some grieving fathers), all deeply religious, and all living in Texas. They've killed children by drowning in the bathtub, bashing over the head with rocks, and by slicing a baby's arms off.
Even a horror director couldn't concoct such a gruesome scenario of homicidal Christian mommies in Texas: First we had devout Christian homeschooler Andrea Yates drowning her five kids in the bath tub: http://www.mayhem.net/Crime/andreayates.html Then we had Deanna Langey, who was told by God to bash her two sons to death with a rock while her youngest child looked on (acqitted this week, by the way) http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,116066,00.html She bashed her youngest son over the head too, but couldn't finish the job, saying "God needs to take a rest now". The news this week is filled with stories about the trial of Dena Schlosser, who cut off her baby girl's arms, then calmly dialed 9-1-1 as she listened to Christian hymns ("He Touched Me", ironically). As reported in the ReligionNewsBlog, her minister, Doyle Davidson is being blamed by the husband for his influence over Schlosser: "I'm an apostle and I'm a prophet," Davidson said. "I only teach what's in the Bible and that's what makes them mad." The former veterinarian said God told him to start Water of Life Ministries in the early 1980s. His sermons, based on literal interpretations of the Bible, are broadcast on his Web site and TV and radio in several states, including California, Indiana, Missouri and Oklahoma, he said. Davidson said he does not use violent imagery, but he does teach that women are weaker and should submit to their husbands. He said that since the Schlossers began attending his roughly 200-member church in 2002, he's had little interaction with Dena and that when she asked questions, he only answered with scripture. The minister's loyalists say his teachings are truly inspired by God, supported by scripture and have changed their lives. "My family has said the same thing that Dena's family said," said Debbie Edge, 52, who joined Davidson's ministry when she married his nephew more than 30 years ago. Edge said she was a rebellious young woman who partied, wore short skirts and clashed so sharply with her husband that she was ready to divorce him within months. But she said Davidson cast out the evil spirit one day while eating a bowl of ice cream. Sure, I know that they all have "post partum depression". But why is that only Christian mom's with "post partum depression" are being ordered by God to massacre their own kids?? |

Honestly at times I don't know what is wrong with this state. We seem to breed and attract the nuttiest fundies around. As if David Koresh and the Branch Davidians weren't a bad enough stain on this state...

These women should have their ovaries pulled out with salad tongs (just to make sure they can never have children again) and then be locked up in a padded cell for the rest of their miserable, undeserving lives. how can any sane person aquit such a foul, murdering bitch. If they have "post partum depression" they should kill themselves and not their helpless children.

Greetings! I haven't been here in a while, but the "prophet" is still pining after his "wife that god gave him"--- gag--- He's "commanding her to come home"- It doesn't take a rocket scientist, to figure out that this ego-maniac thinks that this other man's LEGAL wife is "his" (the "prophets") chattel, his property. So he publicly posts this crap on his website. It's nauseating. For the record, I am NOT defending these nut cases- the women that kill their kids, saying "GOD" told them to do it. NONSENSE! I can't speak for Yates, or the Langey woman, but I CAN SAY THIS: If Dena Schlosser spent any amount of time under the teachings of the "False Prophet"- Davidson, I can see how the brainwashing of that place, added to her predisposed mental illness, drove her to cut off her baby's arms. Is she INSANE? I don't know, I'm not a shrink. But I DO KNOW THIS: Mr. Davidson is a false teacher, a false prophet, and twists the Bible to suit his own lust. I speak from experience. I stayed in that "ministry" for several years- but I am grateful, I'm GONE! ![]() The "church" is called "Water of Life".... Hmmmm- one could really do a play on words , with that one! ![]() www.doyledavidson.com Click on "news of Interest"- (actually it's news of NON interest)- then read "Messages to Lisa".... Davidson is "commanding her to get home".... Uh-oh... wait... I hear someone whistling......... "HEEEEEERE LASSIE"!!! LOL TEXASAWOL |

I think that any preacher - especially in these loony evangelical 'faiths' - worth his/her salt should preface the sermons with: "If any of you hear voices telling you to harm or kill a person, you're hearing the voice of Satan."

I don’t think being a Christian makes anyone psychotic, but if you are a psycho being Christian doesn’t seem to help. Still, you’d think people close to these nutjobs would see a few signs and take some action, or, at least, notify the authorities.
