Default Where was Jesus

When that psycho went on a shooting spree in the auto parts warehouse in chicago.

You would think with all his power he could do something small like stop the heart of that psycho gunman befor ehe killed anyone.

But of course something small like that is too much for an all powerful Jesus.

Maybe those were sinners in the eye of Jesus, and so they were righteuously judged and sentenced.

Do you really claim to know, that those who died didn't deserve, according to the Bible's version of who Jesus is, it?

How to know when God works in mysterious ways eh?

Darth Dane, your last post was insensitive and offensive to me. I don't think I'm alone here.

I am an atheist...I like to point that out before I tell this story.

People like to ask where was god when this thing happened. What is he doing to stop the pain and misery in the world.

A Jesuit friend of mine told me this story. One day a man got the chance to speak to the "Chairman." Being given this once in lifetime change, he poured out all the evils of this world. When he was finished enumerating them, he asked God, "What have you done to stop the evils of the world?"

God answered: "I created you."

All that story proves is that god is too lazy to do his own dirty work, for a problem that he let happen in the first place.

I'm sorry. It wasn't meant to be offensive.

I don't claim to know why things happen as they do, and I don't understand as such.

The Bible says: God works in mysterious ways.

How was it insensitive, so as I don't make the same mistake again?

That's OK, so long as you don't do it again.

I said that it was offensive because you implied that the victims deserved it.

Hm, winstonjen, I've actually seen christians use this type of argumentation to justify evil, although most go for the "freewill and heaven for the innocent victims" defence.

I don't know whether or not they deserved it, as seen from the bible's point of view!!!! But if we use it as a guide to understand, they must have done something.

From my point of view, no one deserves to be killed.

See the difference?

If you don't believe in Jesus, the OP is not relevant. because if Jesus never was, he couldn't have been there. If we believe Jesus is, then the bible comes in as an explanation.

GOT as well.
