It seems to give them both a hobby, calling each other names.

So what have you heard, Heretic? What the odds of actually getting a conviction, exposing all the other forgeries they are responsible for, etc? Juicy gossip, please!

Vork, I haven't been following the issue, aside from reading about it in BAR.

Since this thread came back up, and in case Sauron is still out there. As you may already know, Ada Yardeni's beliefs about the "James ossuary" inscription made it onto the web some time ago. Since this has some bearing on a previous discussion in this thread, I'll post a few quotes and then a link to her views.

Dr. Ada Yardeni is an expert in the field of Aramaic and Hebrew palaeography who has published many useful works on the subject.

What are Dr. Altman's qualifications again?

Of course, I mentioned this in my article, but it seems not to have been noticed or understood. It does not appear to me that Dr. Altman and Dr. Yardeni agreed at all. You be the judge.

As everyone knows, this is quite a different pronouncement on the "James ossuary" than the one made by Dr. Altman.

Dr. Yardeni's full views can be found here.

I have no idea what her views are after Golan's indictment, perhaps they have now changed, or perhaps, like me, she is waiting for the evidence to finally be presented so that a legitimate decision can be made.
