Thanks And yes, they did get the bad guys. The worrisome thing also is that I may know the person who did the killing, not sure yet but the name and age sound right. If so, it's someone I grew up down the road from and was good friends with

And actually, my hometown is normally super-safe. This is only the third time I can remember in the last 10 years that someone was murdered here. Which of course means it's huge big news.

It would seem, unless the intent is to drive the questioner away from their Christianity, that you give them the benefit of the doubt until they make a positive affirmation that they no longer consider themselves Christian. I can't speak for this individual, but historically it's not that horribly uncommon for someone to pretty much go back and forth. I would think history would account for something.

More to the point, what is the compassionate thing to do?

The saddest part Cat, if i'm getting the news straight, is that it was all over some silly piece of jewelry or something Just a bit of property and two people are dead for it. Oh, and there was a third person shot (the girlfriend of one of the deceased, the other dead was the mother of the man) who is still alive so I imagine we'll hear a bit more of what was going on eventually.

I'm pretty sure I know who you're refering to. She's a friend of mine. I know she would probably welcome a PM from you showing her your support.

Aaaarrrrggghhh! The idea that priesthood is the only acceptable alternative to marriage is kinda stoopid, isn't it? :banghead:
