Assuming that this claim turns out not to be true, or turns out to be poorly supported, what is going to come of this?

This is pretty clearly not a fabrication, in the sense that the James Ossuary was a fake. The archeological evidence is there, and has not been tampered with.

But the conclusions are clearly not supported by the evidence, so no one will be forced to change their opinion. |

It will have mixed results. But ultimately I think it will bring challenges against Jesus as a Messiah into the wider public domain; rather than an interest only of radical fringe nutters like IIDB.

Read "The Jesus Dynasty (or via: amazon.co.uk)" by James Tabor James Tabor's book, has a lot of information on this tomb. Tabor is a professor at North Carolina University and a Biblical Scholar. Stuart Shepherd |

Yeah, the lines are already drawn. No one will be swayed one way or the other. It may hurt the skeptics' cause though. Why? Such preposterous conclusions based on such flimsy evidence. Their agenda is just too blatant. It will leave a bad taste in many people's mouths.

I have been reviewing the supporting documentation that came with the documentary and I have to concede that they are making a very strong case. The Patina result as well as the statistical analysis is quite convincing.

This is quite unique amongst all of the previous "discoveries" of this kind. The Christian reaction on the internet and these boards are an indication that this is quite unique. Could this be the beginning of the end for Christianity? Possibly... |
