Gnostic "discoveries" since the mid-19th century
(1) Syriac and coptic literature (1850-present) (2) The Nag Hammadi Codices (1948), published 1970 (3) The gJudas (1948?), published recently. Are there any more recent discoveries by which we can assemble a corpus of "gnostic literature" which has only relatively recently become available? Because it is from the "gnostic" and/or non-christian literature that it may, or may not, be possible to recover the name or names by which the gnostics regarded the orthodox. Quote:
