So, how do you think that trophy is going to look with the rest of Australia's silverware? :Cheeky:

England might be a good bet, depending on the odds.

Team selection looking much better, confidence up, very good youngsters coming along.

I see you can get 9-1 at the moment.

That's got to be worth a fiver.

Aussie bowling looks weak. Aside from Nathan Bracken, all the other bowlers leak lots of runs, based on their performances at the death in previous ODIs. Their batting lineup is extremely strong however, so they always start as favorites. I think the Proteas have a very good chance, partly due to their fielding and their power hitting. Another team with a good chance is Sri Lanka, as they will be the best all around team on display.

Rather nice, I'd say.

The shorter the format, the greater the element of luck. 20/20 with 6 overs of fielding restrictions practically demands that the batsmen hit out from the word go. The difference between 20 for 0 and 6 for 3 after 2 overs is massive in the context of the game but often just a matter of whether the edges and mishits find the fielders or not.

Obviously there is an enormous amount of skill too (especially in the middle overs when the spinners are on), so that in the long run the stronger teams will win more than the weaker ones. But a single tournament is not long enough to say that team A should win.

The Aussie record to date in 20/20 isn't very good.

I'd fancy the 'Boks.

So WI have made a good start against SA. Would have been better if Gayle had stayed in, but what an innings!

Pressure on SA now!

And the Windies throw it away with wides and bad catching

Gayle earned a win, and the blew it.

Smith injured, though, and Gibbs hobbling.
