				 | Something About Nets

Hi again, I am sorry after angering people last time, to come unsure of the verse I'm speaking of, but hopefully one of you will know-we all know about the many prophecies in the OT of lands being destroyed and so on, some of which came true and some didn't. Obviously law of probability explains most of this. We also know there are nutbags who write books lying to prove Christianity. I read one one time, this being written in the 80's who figured the world would end before 2000, by some guy claiming he had gotten a picture of one of the conquered towns and they were casting nets from the walls or something, and supposedly this fulfilled some scripture referring to this. I think this is the place Alexander the Great conquered, if that is any help, but I was curious if anyone knew what I was talking about or had heard anything about this at all.

Are you referring to the prophecy of Tyre's destruction? IIRC, part it refers to fishermen casting nets from the flat rock upon which Tyre use to sit. Unfortunately for this attempt at prophecy, Tyre exist to this day. |
