Angry Mom drugs kids for porn...

Ok mods, not sure if this goes here, so please move where necessary.

This story was in the local paper, a week or so ago.
http://www.lacrossetribune.com/artic...8/wi/01wis.txt
Some mother drugged her six-year-old twin girls with cough syrup, then took nude pictures of the girls with her boyfriend. Oh, and she's being held for trial at a medical center, because she's pregnant again.

Seriously, is this a "God moves in mysterious ways" moment, or "God has a plan"? I can't help but look at this story and wonder at those who worship the "almighty." The comments on the article are great, too.

Good grief. I just don't have any words for this. Nothing coherent or printable.

...and that isn't even the worst of it.

Evans

The mysterious plan apparently was that he was allowed to kill so that he could be sent to the Pen and be shanked by a delusional inmate who claimed he was Jesus.

The PoE is problematic for religious adherents...objective evidence for the existence of God(s)ess(es) is the deal breaker for me, however.

See y'all in a few.

Here's a theory of why something like this may happen (Purely playing devil's advocate and I in no way adhere to what I'm saying)

God looks at the whole of humanity instead of the individual. While you can have an individual relationship with God you are still relegated to the symptoms of a wicked society of which you're a part. These symptoms become a warning and a lesson to others to reform their behavior or to try and help those that are victims to it. In essence you're an unwilling martyr.

Of course this would make so much more sense with reincarnation and karma.

What, no pictures with the link? As a confirmed skeptic, I won't believe this story until I examine the evidence myself.

Despite the obvious fact that what this mother did was despicable, what does this have to do with religion or the existence/non-existence of God(s)? I mean, it's not like they said they were molesting kids for Jesus or anything.

It addresses the religious issue of asserting that a benevolent God exists, can intervene...yet does not, to prevent great harm.

My views on that are in the prior post.

Proof positive they were atheists who were doing this in the name of darwin.

As if spoken from the mouth of the good doctor himself.
