Default When was the Old Testament compiled?

Quick question: What are the credible sources that say the Old Testament was compiled between 1200BC and 200BC (dates accordingly read via Encyclopedia Brittanica)?

Which version of the Old Testament? The Catholic, Coptic, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant, etc.?

I mean, I guess you could say that the core of the "Old Testament" was compiled by the 1st century BC with the completion of the Septuagint.
