Lots of references, and similarities But nothing there that purges the pagan elements that were incorporated into each of these groups theology. (Rev 17:15, 18:3)

Ephraim Isaac, "The Falasha: Black Jews of Ethiopia" (Dillard University Scholar Statesman Lecture Series 1974) argues that the Falashas were an offshoot of the Therapeutae/Essenes and perpetuated the monasticism described in Philo.

But there is nothing pagan about the Falashas. They are more Jewish than the Jews in many respects. They maintain a form of Judaism from before the Mishnah. Why am I wasting my time talking with a .... ....n ..?

There are are at least a dozen parallels now. This is getting silly. If you don't want to actually consider evidence and what is more reasonable, why not find something else to do. There is absolutely no evidence the Therapeutae were (a) healers or (b) pagans.

I can guarantee you that I can provide evidence of pagan syncretism among Falasha beliefs. |

Why don't you just admit that hate is all that motivates you? You simply aren't capable of any sort of objectivity in these matters.

Seem like I've asked you reasonable questions.
Your tossing out dozens of parallels between the Falashas and Theraputae does not really address all the matters under consideration. What difference would it make if they could accurately document every change of their leadership all the way back to Menelaus ? It doesn't make their religious claims any more valid. |
