Default What tangible, otherwise stated physical evidence is there that God is good today?

The correct answer to my topic question is "Not much." Yes, some good things do happen, but good things are not distributed in a fashion that indicates divine involvement. The distribution of good things and bad things has every indication of being random, in other words, controlled by the laws of physics. Randomness does not indicate divine involvement. I invite Christians to give me some examples of tangible, non-random evidence that God is good today.

several anwers, you get a bonus. but no kewpie doll. #1: you are breathing are'nt you? or, "yer breathin' aintcha?" the bible says somehwere that no one "keeps alive" his own soul. you can take it and eliminate it by some extreme measures, but you cant keep it alive on your own. in the hebrew history the soul of man is described as a composite of all three things of man : the soul is his spirit, his intellect and his body. in the greek the soul is the intellect, divided from his spirit and body. you are in a suspended form of inertia, the world is spinning on its axis, faster than you can think, but you are standing upright, walking around, and you have composed this excellent question. i couldnt let it go unanswered.

And by what criteria do you determine that something is/is not random?

It seems to me that you are begging the question already. Assuming what God would do on one hand and in the other assuming that what happens must be random. So, again by what standard do we determine this?

he probably means by random using Normal distribution, or the Weibull distribution, or perhaps the Lognormal distribution (good o'l statistics classes)

However he means it. Just because there is randomness does not means there is no divine involvement.

There can be both.

Nice to see you arguing with us atheists, Valz.

You agree that we have no standards by which to judge this, even to the extent that we can't distinguish a good intervening god from random events.

So you naturally agree that there not only isn't any evidence of God's goodness, but there cannot be.
