I am not trying to put you off (your questions are excellent), but I don't think this is the place for a detailed literary analysis of the sayings and of the Passion. I would love to do that, but I would really appreciate it if you would take a look at Brunner's Our Christ. There isn't a word that I have said in any thread that doesn't basically just come directly from this book. It would make my job far easier if you were familiar with it. I realize you are under no obligation. It's just a polite request.
