This is all very entertaining. I'm glad I haven't stopped hanging around here.

We probably won't see any more of XKV8R. He was only here sleuthing out Charles Gadda and that done made a gloating swansong.

Dear XKV8R.
Your log against the "cyber-bullying" of "Charles Gadda" is impressive but very one dimensional. I simply seek another dimension to your own presence in cyberspace (which includes here) by which I can assure myself that your agenda is as pure as the wind-driven snow. I appreciate the response. But we all know that it's all about agendas. And I dont know yours. I know that it is "Anti-Charles Gadda". But that's the extent of it. One dimensional. I am curious. That's all. Most are. My agenda at least is open: 'christian bullying'? lol was commissioned 312 CE Best wishes, Pete |

I think you can glean XKV8R's "agenda" from his website. I think a big part of that agenda was getting a PhD from UCLA in spite of being dogged by an anonymous internet critic.

In my reference to the "as pure as the wind-driven snow" I was of course referring to the anti-"Charles" Sandbox agenda. A coin generally has two sides and an edge, and any ancient historian or archaeologist will tell you that numismatists are curious people. We do not have all the data (yet).

Aside from the identity theft issue, can anyone tell what is the impact if the scrolls were produced/hidden away by the Essene sect, or by others from more ancient Israel? What is the impacting historical import here. |

Another nice conjectural theory of "christian origins" with (political?) twists. Has anyone actually conducted a survey or a review of "scholarly opinion" on the question of the relationship (if any) between the DSS and "early christianity"? And if so, when, and what was the consensus distribution? |

The historical jesus is becoming very shady and attenuated. Unambiguous evidence (previously held by the "church") in respect of the Historical Jesus and his followers has been expected for over 1600 years, but has failed to manifest itself. The DSS were hailed as some sort of "missing link" in the big "christian picture" of the first century of the common era. But it appears that the tide is turning on this assessment; namely that the DSS have nothing to do with "early christianity". (Also see above).
