River, you and the author of that page have committed SHIRK by using the term ETERNAL when referring to a PROPHET!

SUBHANAHU WA TA'ALA!

I have not read the article; no Muslim should because of the name alone!

In sha' Allah may you be given mercy. However, SHIRK is the greatest of all sins and will not be forgiven.

ALLAHU AKBAR!!!

Default silly muslim

if you had bothered to look at the article, you would realize that the "eternal prophet" is not a prophet at all. it is another word for the universe only. silly muslim.

Okay, I read the WHOLE article. My first post in this thread was a joke, by the way.

The article would be considered SHIRK by non-Sufist Muslims.

Seriously, the article was nothing but a bunch of Sufist garbage. I never knew you were a Sufist, though, River.

Also, the quote from Revelation after the heading "The Greatest Jihad", what a horrible translation!

I think the problem is that no one, except apparently you and perhaps Space Chef, understanding what that article is talking about.

Perhaps the article contains profound wisdom, but to those of us untutored in the ways of Islamic theology, it just looks like a long and apparently random mixture of scriptural passages and assertions. You just aren't going to get a reasonable debate when no one knows what you're talking about.

It might help if you were to make some kind of single assertion yourself, and then try to back it up with arguments that make sense to you. But also try to find an assertion and arguments that will make sense to people who aren't steeped in Islamic theology.

Superstition involves things that are beneath the level of science....i.e breaking mirrors = bad luck....walking under ladders....etc....

Religions do not appeal to superstitions. They may sometimes reference the Supernatural/Metaphysical world. The Supernatural is above the level of Science...meaning that current day scientific equipments are not calibrated enough to measure the minute dimensional oscillations.......However perhaps in a few centuries the scientific process will be advanced or accurate enough to detect the supernatural realm and species like Refaim and Nefilim.
