Jesus is regarded as the seed of David because he was "found" in the LXX. If he was "found" in Homer, perhaps he could have been referred to as the seed of Agamemnon.

Jesus appears in the greek new testament as the nomina sacra code "J_S". This same code appears in the LXX as the coded name for Joshua. The new testament fabricators sought to capitalize on the antiquity of the lineage of the sacred names (codes).
