I think Shaquille O'Neal is a new species of homo sapien.

Laughter aside, thanks for that Kuu. But 'Giant Chimp'? Well that would explain, discounting interbreeding, the chimplike characteristics. I am still the sceptic I have always been- Bring me the head of Alfredo Garcia!!!

Ahhhh... that explains why it looks like a gorilla.

Thanks, Biff! I love reading you're posts, by the way. I love Koko, and you're such a wealth of info. :notworthy

P.S. Does Koko know they're remaking King Kong? If I were her, I'd be offended. She hasn't seen the old one, has she?

He's one of my closest Nova, but I'd never tell him that.

I think KoKo is perhaps brighter and more loving than half these 'LaLa Simians'.

And Darwin certainly worked at doing that. But RBH is right; Darwin did an amazing job of his natural history writing, and he wrote clearly and convincingly too. I think he's still a model to emulate (maybe the best; top ten for sure) when it comes to science writing, both by scientists and by journalists. More people should read his books, especially since you can get them for free at Project Gutenberg, and most of them in very cheap print versions as well.

No, she hasn't seen the old one. In fact she won't look at black and white movies at all. Says they are "stupid." Which is a shame because someone sent her a DVD of Jimmy Stewart in "Harvey" which I (for one) would love to watch but she'll have none of it.

I'm glad she hasn't seen King Kong. Gorillas have plenty of reasons to hate humans without seeing that. It's just too bad about all of the other black and white gems she's missing. I can't even imagine life without the "Three Stooges" or "Abbott and Costello", although I guess they are, in fact "stupid". lol! (I'll have to rent "Harvey", now. )
