I'd just like to add that you should probably not base your philosophies on things that happened to you when you bashed your head on the toilet.

If you're still having lingering after-effects of this experience, perhaps you should see a doctor.

I've read, and I have no links/literature to back this up now, that people who have had the bridge between the frontal lobes of their brains cut (not a labotomy, something else... ) sometimes have two distinct personalities. One coming from each half of the brain. It's not schizophrenia as the personalities exist at the same time. I don't truthfully know if this is sci-fi or reality since it's been so long since I've read it. I wonder if it's possible to have something like this happen randomly, where the bridge isn't destroyed, just momentarily out of service. It might give one the impression of two personalities in one body. Once the personalities are merged again, the experience might be interpreted as one personality in two bodies...can't really imagine why, though...

[Edited to add: I also might be mis-remembering the details...two 'personalities' might be a stretch...]

Not planning on joining the conversation here. I was in on the last one. Just want to add this in, what I fear to be, the futile attempt to steer this onto a semi-rational path.

Your incident, as far as I can tell, was a delusional experience. I doubt you will find many here or elsewhere that will laud you for a delusional experience.

You have however done something that is definitely not conducive to eliciting praise on these forums; you have accepted and defined the incident, without critical analysis, in a manner that contradicts the understanding we have of our universe. You further exacerbate the situation by rejecting any attempts at critical analysis. You refuse to acknowledge the physics involved in your interpretation of the incident. And you dismiss any possibility that the incident is not as you have defined it.

Did it happen? I dont know.

Can you speculate as to the mechanics of it?

Can you verify the veracity of your speculations?

Can you repeat it?

Now it may make the premise of an interesting tale of fiction but it certainly does not stand up to scrutiny as an actual event.

Now, Cojana, given that you seem to be describing the same experience in this thread as in the other one, (why) do you believe that this thread will go significantly further than the other one? (And as an aside, what's with using the sunglassd smiley for every single one of your posts?)
No, that was the OTHER Cojana - you know, the doppleganger.

Cojana ,

You don't need to have done drugs or be going mad to experience something like this - its a distortion of body image related to out of body experience at a guess. You can induce experiences like that with temporal lobe seizure induced by magnetic fields - maybe even from hyperventilation. The fact that you had just fainted is significant.

This one is off to ~E~. I have no more hope for this one than I did for the topic the last time it came up.

If people want to discuss this concept, feel free to do so. But I see no S&S bent here.

I kno that it are very impossible for you to conceive of, but I are very interested in this phmonomonon. I are have seen myself in my duality simultaneounously and it were nothing to do with the drugs or the fact that I are hit me head. Whey are can you not are beleeeive me are about are this?

There are (damn - "are" is correct here) more special things in the universe than we kno, and this type of phenomonon and on and on is what are happened to me and I saw myself, so there.

I are not in need of any more critical analysis.

An altered perception brought on by drugs, falling or both. This doesn't mean what you experienced is based in reality. That it was an awe-inspiring sensation, I do not doubt. I would try not to make it something you cannot verify. There are drugs that can induce similar states, however, I would be reluctant to make any recommendations. Please consider that all you perceive is not guaranteed to be reality.
