A friend sent me an email which ended by saying " Have an ice day!" to which I ended my response " Buy fur now!"
That wasn't evolutionary but maybe I've just planted a meme here.

I'd say so, but it remains to be seen if "yesh" fills a niche that is rpesently unfilled. That is natural selection - if it does a job that no other word does (or no other word does as well as "yesh"), then "Yesh" will become a new word, given time for the characteristic to spread throughout the population.

No, you've just been momentarily transmogrified into a Mutts character.

It's already got a foothold in the "drinks far to excess" subpopulation.

Language does change through specific adaptation to the environment.
