Well I did not say that it applies to all wind farms. Obviously a risk is the highest when these farms lie smack in the middle of migratory and other routes of the species in question.
Also the risk is higher with huge wind farms with hundreds of generators than with smaller, sparse, generators on individual properties.

Oh, I know Boro Nut and his anticks. I just thought I'd try to save the discussion before it got moved to Humor or Elsewhere. I guess I've been unsuccessful. :boohoo:

I think that's an exercise in futility. A Boro Nut thread is damned by it's nature.

I suggested to my local council that wind farms be moved from our beautiful countryside and set up outside curry houses instead. When told that there is a good reason why cows and wind farms are found in the same place, i replied that we ought to move them both nearer to the local curryoakie bar; this would result in less road traffic, too, since the dead cows could be taken in the back door and fed to the punters out front when too many bahjees take their toll on the delicate bovine palate. Moreover, the fields would be left empty and hence free to build roads on, with the obvious added bonus that picnickers could use them to get to the wasps quicker.

My ideas were knocked back because curry houses only serve dog in this part of the world.
And you say nobody ever laughs at your jokes Hugo.

I don't know about the Netherlands, but if you can find the word sausage in whole or in part (or any anagram thereof) listed in the ingredients of any packet of British sausage rolls I will concede the point to you.

Maybe I am being picky. Maybe I'm alone on this one. But I understood that they were allegedly items of food, produced by food manufacturers, for the purpose of eating, and as such their sausageness should outweigh their ability to roll downhill. Being so close to Germany I am surprised you do not understand the concept of a sausage, although under the circumstances I can forgive your ignorance of the conept of a hill.

Um, they have to lie across the gradient, not along it.

That's right. If you read the packet carefully it says
Remove outer packaging
Serve hot or cold
For best results position along gradient

It also says 'Best Before' and then some numbers. I presume this is a code for deserts because I always have them after the sandwiches but before the Muller Rice. They all appear to be made in Yorkshire in Selby for some reason.

Recent research suggests that slag from the mines there may be a key ingredient in the pastry.

This "Muller Rice" must be in the Sahara, I take it?
