Edit: They have found that it is always used as misdirection. It clouds the issues and does not illuminate them.

IMO human life is very valuable since so far, we've only found one place in the entire universe that has it. By extension, that makes the propagation of species especially valuable. Muderers and child molesters are predatory genetic/social defects and should be eliminated from the gene pool for the continued survival of the species.

So IOW priests that molest children, pious psychopaths that kill doctors, and fanatics that wish to become martyrs for allah, let them have their heaven.

IMO human life is very valuable since so far, we've only found one place in the entire universe that has it. By extension, that makes the propagation of species especially valuable. I suppose thats why we have jails and whatnot. But is a murderer a murderer because of genes?

In many cases, yes. You'll also notice that I stated that they are "genetic/social defects" which covers a lot of territory, not just genetic.

Social pressures, such as extensive brainwashing, can lead to morality contrary to the well-being of the human species. The exaltation of altruism for example, can sometimes lead to objectification and dehumanization of others. Or contrarily, an emphasis on the 'fallen nature' of man can lead to misanthropism.

Apparently you are trying to present yourself as being morally superior. It would help if you could back up your claims with some facts. That would show that you weren't lying.

What is the value of the human life, when the human life is an axe murderer or a child molester to you?
It would also help if you didn't twist what people said.

One does not show respect for a rattlesnake by letting it stay in the baby's nursery. One shows respect by avoiding it's fangs.
Nor does one show respect for humanity by supporting those who prey upon it.

The more I think about it, I would submit that xtianity is by its very nature a misanthropic organization.

For example, organizations like Opus Dei promote self flagellation and other �cleansing� acts. They also talk about the fallen nature of man at great length. Their obsession with punishment, blood atonement, guilt, asceticism, suffering, etc., hurdles across the line between misanthropy and socipathy IMO.

I�m beginning to wonder about these connections between xtianity and mental illness.

Additionally, eschatological cults display a dazzling array of anti-social behaviors, are there any sociologists around that can go into more detail?
