For a few days of hedonistic indulgences. I am not a huge fan of the place myself, particularly this time of year when it's so hot. But, wifey has never been and I figure everyone should see the Disneyland for Adults at least once in their lives, before you are too old to really enjoy it. We will be staying in the Luxor, which was not my first choice. I would have preferred staying in either the Belagio or Mandalay Bay. Luxor is reasonably cool though and is close to some of the other things I would like to show her while there.

I don't gamble really. I will play video poker, some slots and some blackjack for "fun". My idea of "fun" though is an hour or two tops on a budget of $100. There are a couple of shows we would like to see and lots of free stuff to see and do to keep us busy, while we are not...ummmm...busy. She is packing a special bag, that I am not allowed to look into. So, no telling in what kind of ways I will be abused over the next several days.

Yea me!

We are driving up from the Phoenix area, which I plan to take slow and easy. Stopping lots of places that I haven't seen since I was a kid. I have gotten to the point where I absolutley hate flying and will avoid it like the plague when possible. I like to drive though and I added an extra day on to the trip so that I don't have to feel like I need to drive a million miles an hour. Should be fun and relaxing.

It's 4th of July weekend, so hundreds of thousands of people in town, be prepared for crowds.

I will be arriving the evening of the 5th. Hopefully after the crowds have started bugging out.

LadyShea... I personally don't mind the heat too much, but wifey can't tolerate being out it in it for long. In the summers, we become very nocturnal creatures, so Vegas should do just fine. Normally though, we head up "north" to Rim country where it is a little cooler. We just decided to do something different this year.

That town is great. Best place I have ener been. Have a shitlod of fun, Luxor kicks ass from when I walked through it (Loren was there! Shout out!)
