Default Speaking of creation museums...

....did anyone else who's subscribed to AiG's nonsense receive a DVD/plea for money in the mail? Apparently "through the Lord's grace" they've raised $8 million for the museum, but need $17 mil more.

For those of you not familiar with the museum, it's being built in the Cincinnati area. Here's a link to pics of the construction (--at least they're keeping the economy going); the best ones are the artist's renditions of how the interior will look. Don't be drinking anything when you look at them; there's a high "spit out your drink" factor involved.

So who's kids did the artist renditions of the museum lobby? I hope they didn't pay for that.

JM: I don't think they liked my 'contribution'.

Cheers

Thanks for the warning beforehand. Such professional artwork, really. I'm sure that's where a lot of that extra money is going to...

"A walk through Biblical history":

Gee, I must've missed the parts of the bible that talks about mammoths in rain forests and that big whopping Tyrannosaurus Rex...

Yeah, that huge T-rex model with a gigantic mouthful of 6-inch (15 cm) long, dagger-shaped teeth ...

...for eating plants!

That "lake" looks awfully brown. Looks like more of a retention pond to me.

Also, why has it taken this long to build this thing? Its been over one year already, and there is barely anything to show for it. And why did they already pave the lots when they have alot of construction machines traveling on it? I hope they used ODOT CMS Item 304 over the in-situ graded soil, or their paved lot will go to heck quickly.

And why the heck is there about only half of the structure actually dedicated to an actual museum?

And why do they need all this money if they keep on getting all these "gifts in kind"?

And check out that "natural-looking retaining wall". Yep, it naturally looks like a retaining wall. Hope they put enough drainage behind it so as not to build up water pressure. But, of course, I wouldn't know what I'm talking about. I wasn't blessed with the Sarfati Seal of Approval of Legitimate Knowledge, even though I'm a geotechnical engineer.

And this is where they keep all their purchased copies of Sarfati and the like books that make it appear that people actually buy it.

Why aren't they using that money to help people? That makes me sick.

In their self-righteous view they ARE helping people by winning souls for Jeebus.
