I think I'm falling apart. Stress is sucking the life out of me.

Hi...I'm delurking because I've got this need to be understood going on just now. It seems like the people here might fit the bill I joined CF some months ago,and it was somewhat of a step for me because although I am Catholic I'm not generally too comfortable with religious sites. I found it to be warm and welcoming...at first. I learned immediately that OBOB was not a very congenial place for a rather liberal Catholic such as myself, but that's no problem. I enjoyed myself posting occasionally in Politics, playing games, dressing my doll in lovely outfits..that sort of thing. I've even found found some kindred spirits here and there. I've done a good bit of reading during my insomniac nights and have learned a lot about different beliefs. However, when the "pro-life" ribbon business came to my attention,I had to step into it...just a bit. It is so clearly a divisive and unfair policy that I couldn't believe they were seriously still going to insist that they were 'uniting all Christians". It's like Bizarro World. The treatment that people who don't march lockstep with their narrow views have received is heartbreaking. There are people who may be seriously hurt by this sort of highhandedness and biased treatment, and they don't seem to care,or even realise it. I've noticed that there are some very young people who post over there, and it concerns me that they may be getting a very warped view of Christianity...I mean, where's the love? I had my first post deleted today,in the "Ribbon" thread. It was posted a couple of days ago,so I hate to think what harm it may have done sitting there until now I felt it was quite innocuous and polite, but I was told it was "quasi-debating,which led to real debating". Can't have that,I guess,in a thread discussing a controversial policy. I'm afraid their "mission" has been corrupted and they may well be doing more harm than good. I think I may be better served by spending my time on the serene and evenhanded Free Republic and Democratic Underground boards At least they make no pretense of being anything other than partisan and one-sided.

Quick note for whom it may concern: Mayatesnomas let it be known that he's a member (presumably lurker) here -- the key was in his reference to it being a "sooper seekrit" place, with that spelling, per the joke Rigs, Seebs, and I among others use. So he probably needs to be added to the Big List of IIDB Members, ideally with his identity here listed.

tas, you asked me to look into it. I did. What you said was the truth had ZERO evidence. I'm not going to debate this with you.
What you do with the single line in the OT and what you do to others with it, is no different than what the new policy does to others in the area of abortion. It is your interpretation, nothing else. I have fought your trying to Lord your interpretation over on us the same way I've tried to fight their lording theirs over others. It's wrong, pure and simple.
be blessed in your tilting.

So Rigs might be right about the total delete.
no, I still had one last trip to CF, I was still on staff at the time, it was out of my access area, and if it were deleted, I would know that too. IT was moved to alpha, which means an alpha member moved it. And if they chose to leave no "redirect" when they moved it, there would be nothing to link to.
